- North Pacific Rim Housing Authority’s Mutual Help Program is a lease-purchase homeownership program.

- Homebuyers enter into a 25-year lease agreement and the title to the home is transferred to the homebuyer at the end of the term.

- Eligible participants for the program are Alaska Natives and American Indians whose income is at or below 80% of median income for the area and who have the resources to become homeowners.

- This program is NPRHA’s largest single program with homes in every community in the region, currently NPRHA is only accepting new applications for this program in the communities of Port Graham, Nanwalek, Tatitlek, and Chenega. Around the region, NPRHA has constructed 175 homes under this program since it was established.

- Homebuyers are responsible for all maintenance, utilities and repairs on the home for the entire term of the agreement and pay a monthly administrative fee, currently set at $225.00, which pays for insurance and administrative requirements of the program
